61″ LCD DLP HDTV

After looking at the different types of HDTV out there I decided for the price and quality that DLP would fit best for my needs. Most LCD’s with the specs of the DLP were in the $4K+ range. I finally settled on the Samsung 61” LCD DLP.

I was looking for a quality display that I could watch HDTV, play my Xbox 360 at full resolution, watch Blu-Ray disks, and play from my PC on the display as well. So I needed something with full 1080p, HDMI inputs, and high refresh rates. When playing games with lots of movement like racing games, I didn’t want to have ghosting effects. I also wanted a deep color palette to best take advantage of the Blu-Ray disks. Looking at the 120Hz LCD and Plasmas was were I was focused, until I saw it would be in the $3-4K for the 50” models, as I looked more into displays on recommendation from a friend I really took a look at DLP’s.
