Not sure how I missed this when it was released last week (or the week before). But this is a hilarious trailer for a parody of the Call Of Duty games. This is footage of an actual demo that they makers of Bulletstorm had developed (still waiting for a demo for Bulletstorm). You can download and play the 800 M demo or just watch someone else play it in this trailer.
Here is the latest trailer for the single player campaign for Crysis 2. It’s the typical your the last of the best of the best and you have some major ass-kicking to do to save the world. It appears to show some game footage but not nearly as much as we see in the prior trailers for the mulitplayer.
The mulitplayer demo for the PC will be out on March 1, as the console demo was released earlier this year. The game is scheduled for release on March 22 on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PCs.
L.A. Noire is Rockstars latest open-world game, it’s a crime based drama set during the golden age of Hollywood. It is based around real-world crimes, all set in a recreated Los Angeles.
The trailer looks amazing with great cinematic visuals and the topper is the motion scan technique they developed for this game, which uses 32 cameras for facial recognition. It all should work to make an immersive world where the characters will give small tells when being questioned, which gives the protagonist new tools for solving crimes. And if they game-play is what we normally get from Rockstar, there will be lots of hours lost in old LA.
The game has a scheduled release in May 2011, on both X-Box 360 and Play Station 3.
Well Electronic Arts has announced some details for Battlefield 3. Looks like they are going to show some PC love with this release as it will support 64 players! Battlefield 3 is suppose to be the successor to Battlefield 2, but with the addition of jets and the return of prone, I’m hoping for a return to Desert Combat style of play.
The game will have a full single player and co-op campaign and of course the previously mention 32 on 32 multiplayer (PC) all running on the new Frostbite 2 game engine, with a few tweaks added from other EA game engines.
They have also announced that preorders will start this month, with a release date this fall…
More details will be coming during the GDC and hopefully a “real” trailer with game footage will be released instead of this stylized teaser.
The Hurt Locker isn’t just another Iraq war movie, it looks to break the stereotype of telling you the story from a polarized political or ideological standpoint that other Iraq genre movies have fallen into the trap of.
This film has also broken the mold by releasing the first eight minutes of the film as a preview, (view it in high quality at Apple) instead of trying to tailor a trailer for mass consumption. I like this approach as this intro sucked me in and made me sorry I didn’t go to one of media screenings last month.
This story follows an elite Army bomb disposal unit, which has to face danger around every corner and any road side object could be an explosive waiting to take lives. It’s an intense portrayal of the dangerous job of disarming bombs, but it is turned up to eleven since they have to do it in active combat zones.
Directed by Kathryn Bigelow (Point Break) The Hurt Locker, has been the talked about film on the festival circuit since its debut at the Venice Film Festival last September, winning awards and critical admiration. It had its limited theatrical debut on June 26, it opens wide on July 10.
Big Fan looks interesting as it delves into the mind of a sports fanatic New York Giants fanatic. The film which was written and directed by Robert Siegal, premiered at the 2009 Sundance Film Festival. Opens August 28 2009.
Patton Oswalt (Ratatouille) stars as 35-year-old parking garage attendant, who lives with his mom and is obsessed with the Giants. He and his best friend are devoted followers who go to every home game (and then watch the game on a TV in the parking lot.) Oswalt’s character is even a regular caller on a radio show where he is apparently liked, for his on air rants. He and his friend spot his favorite player at a gas station and then follow him at which the movie takes a turn and we see just how obsessed Oswalt really is.
Well I must say this looks creepy good. This is the new flick by Martin Scorsese, starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Mark Ruffalo, Ben Kingsley, Emily Mortimer, Michelle Williams, Max von Sydow, and Jackie Earle Haley. The only thing is this trailer seems to give away a lot of the plot, which might have been unavoidable with the hype that should build with the release date not till Oct 2.
